Having spent over 7 years exploring, developing and evolving the hottest trends within the digital media space, from search, to the raise of web 2.0, new media and then social, Chaya, who had a bitof a gaming addiction and spent most of her free time playing Facebook Apps, soon identified entertainment media, and games in particular to have an ad engagement potential like no other.
Working in the ad tech industry, she found it confusing that as a young woman who loved shopping and considered herself to be ‘almost everyone’s target audience’, she would be displayed with ads which were completely irrelevant to her.
While waiting for someone who would invest in taking the element of user-annoyance out of in-game ads, Chaya set her mind on being that someone. She decided to develop an ad based solutions that would actually benefit the user’s experience and change the perception of in-game advertising - making it non-intrusive, respectful to the user’s own preferences and yet highly effective – or in her own words: “advertising should be FUN!”
Shortly after leaving her position at Matomy in 2008, Chaya founded Woobi, one of the first companies to focus solely on game monetization and advertising technologies. Over the past 6 years Woobi has set the scene for brands to sponsor, engage and interact with users and players during game play, turning them into brand advocates and loyal customers.
In 2014 Woobi released the DMA algorithm (Dynamic Mindset Advertising) as the future of in-game advertising and gameplay monetization. DMA focuses on not only providing each user with the ad content most suitable to him, but to also tracking their playing patterns and displaying the ad only if they are in a mindset of engagement, ensuring a positive ad experience.
In 2016 Woobi released its proprietary programmatic platform, in-game SSP, Buyer Side Platform and RTB Exchange, enabling or brand advertisers to get these unique quality advantages at scale, and our publishers get access to top quality demand, improved fill and higher eCPM.
Woobi now operates in over 130 countries and provides service to hundreds of the top games across android, iOS, social and Web.
Alongside her adventurous nature and tech savviness, Chaya is somewhat of an ‘old soul’, and with her love of Frank Sinatra, she sure “does it her way”…
