With over 15 years of experience, Mr. Bishwajeet Samal is a seasoned marketing professional. He joined Indian operations of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars in the year 2008 and played a pivotal role in successfully establishing the Brand while being in it’s nascent stage. Prior to his current appointment as Head of Marketing in India, Mr. Samal spent over three years at company headquarters in Wolfsburg being responsible for Regional Marketing, International Communications for European region.
Before joining Volkswagen, Mr. Samal has worked in various genres including Media, Advertising and Telecom industry. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, with a specialization in Marketing from IMDR, Pune and has recently completed his Management Development Program from ISB, Hyderabad.
In his new role as Head of Marketing, Mr. Samal’s appointment has been effective from June 2018 and he reports to Mr. Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India.
Mr. Samal is an avid traveler and likes to explore varied cultures and food. His other interests include Skiing, playing Tennis & Swimming.
