Swagat is currently the co-founder of Smytten which is working towards enhancing the way India’s high spending consumers discover, try and purchase premium products and services. With its strong focus on consumer trials and sampling , Smytten helps consumers immensely in their purchase decision process and also helps brands reach and engage with the right consumers through digital innovations.
Before taking the entrepreneurial plunge in 2015, Swagat was heading business marketing at Google where he was deeply embedded into the Indian internet and digital ecosystem. During his stint with Google he spearheaded many large scale eco system shaping initiatives like Great Online Shopping Festival, Get India Business Online, YouTube Fanfest, Helping Women Get Online to name a few.. Prior to that he worked with McKinsey & Company as a consultant engaging with many clients across consumer durables, oil & gas sector. Prior to McKinsey Swagat had worked with Unilever India where he was managing relationship with many modern trade players like Wal-Mart, Tesco, Spencers, Aditya Birla More.
Swagat graduated from ISB in 2008 and was a recipient of ISB torch bearers award for his significant contribution towards academic activities of the school. Before ISB Swagat worked with Schlumberger in oil & gas sector in Egypt. He completed his graduation in engineering from Birla Institute of Science & Technology, Pilani.
