Ajit Varghese has joined Madison as Partner and Group CEO, bringing over two decades of experience in building scale and driving transformation across global media, digital, and broadcasting networks.
Most recently, as Head of Revenue – Entertainment & International at JioStar (Reliance Disney JV), Ajit shaped the venture’s $2 billion monetisation strategy across TV, digital, and international markets. He strengthened advertiser confidence in a new ecosystem, unified the commercial narrative under the RACE initiative, and launched innovations such as Connected TV measurement, the JioStarverse influencer platform, and premium sponsorship models. He also spearheaded the monetisation of two ICC World Cups, two IPL seasons, and several marquee sports properties at Disney Star.
Earlier, at WPP’s GroupM, Ajit spent over 15 years in senior leadership roles across India, Asia-Pacific, and the UK—including as Global President, Wavemaker (London) and CEO, Maxus South Asia. He built Maxus into one of India’s largest and most digitally advanced media agencies, driving content-data-solutions integration and scaling operations across markets.
At Madison, Ajit brings this global, cross-sector experience to lead its next phase of growth—anchored in AI-led transformation, platform partnerships, and performance-driven creativity—positioning Madison as a strategic growth partner for modern brands.
Tej Kapoor has 17 years of investing experience in the Private Equity / Venture Capital space. Prior to joining ICICI Venture in May 2024 he was Managing Partner at IvyCap Ventures, where he worked on investments across e-commerce, logistics, content, media, internet, and B2B information sectors. His work experience spans various geographies including the United States of America, India, China, and the United Kingdom.
Tej was the Global Partner at Fosun and Head of Fosun RZ Capital India and South-East Asia and was responsible for investments in India and South-East Asia across Travel, Fin-Tech, Logistics, E- commerce and mobility Sectors. Prior to Fosun, Tej was the Country Head for Daily Mail Group (DMG) of London where he was responsible for overall growth of its India portfolio via investments, acquisitions and organic growth strategy and had also established the Daily Mail India office. Tej has worked with Naspers India as their Strategy head. He held several key positions at AOL in the US and was Sr Manager for AOL’s e-commerce division.
Tej holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from Johnson & Wales University and Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Bangalore University. He also did Executive Education at Wharton Business School.

With more than 14 years of rich media experience across different agencies and corporates like Nielsen, RKS BBDO, OMD, GSK, RB, Piramal Healthcare.
A post graduate from SIMC, Pune ,she was the winner of Cannes Media Lions 2008 and was recognized with Business excellence award for Sensodyne, Crocin and Iodex in GSK. She led the most awarded media innovations for GSK ,VISA & RB and set the bar high for the industry.
