Utsav Malhotra

An Magna cum laude alumnus of Durham University, UK and IITB, Utsav is also a double gold medalist from NIFT where he pursued design. With a keen eye for product and a penchant for numbers, he found himself in leadership roles across businesses that anchored around lifestyle and luxury and sought hyper growth. Prior to his current role at Noise, he has had stints with Nicobar Design, AMPM, Fashion and You, Arvind Lifestyle Brands amidst others. Utsav lends his expertise to execute Noise’s vision and accelerate its business goals in the current avatar. He was recently included in the BW40u40 list for his achievements and contributions to the industry. Work life aside, Utsav has an affinity for travel and deep sea diving and is an avid connoisseur of Indian Art.

Shilpa Desai

Shilpa Desai is the EVP & Head of Marketing for HDFC ERGO. In her present role, she is responsible for defining and driving the brand strategy and roadmap for the Company, while supporting business initiatives through marketing and communications. Her key strength lies in driving strategic brand and marketing programs, with a deep understanding of digital technologies and evolving customer behavior. 

Shilpa brings to the table an experience of 18+ years across manufacturing, product management and service organizations, including an extensive experience in the BFSI sector.

During her previous stints, she has held leadership roles in Marketing and Digital Business and has been a key driver in developing and repositioning Marcom strategies for brands like ICICI Bank, IDFC Bank and Fullerton India Credit Company Limited.

Shilpa is an Engineer graduate and holds an MBA degree in Marketing. Currently, she is also pursuing her PhD in Management from IIT Bombay.

Darshana Shah

Darshana Shah is Head of Marketing and Customer Experience at Aditya Birla Capital Ltd.

Aditya Birla Capital Limited (ABCL), a financial services conglomerate is the holding company for the financial services businesses of the Aditya Birla Group. With subsidiaries, across 13+ line of business that have a strong presence across Protecting, Investing and Financing solutions, ABCL is a first of its kind mother brand in the Indian financial services industry that caters to diverse needs of its customers across their life cycle.

In her role, Darshana provides strategic direction and leadership for Brand and marketing across the omnichannel consumer touchpoints at Aditya Birla Capital and its subsidiaries and is leading the new vision for the mother brand in the “digital first” era. As a part of her Customer Experience mandate, she is leading the centre of excellence team across subsidiaries to drive service
excellence and deliver customer delight.

Darshana brings over 25 years of expertise in driving business strategy, brand building, delivering omnichannel consumer experience by creating digital Assets and delivering growth, driving lifetime value through CRM & Loyalty, building the Corporate brand through Corporate Communication and leading Customer Experience through design thinking. She forayed into BFSI as a founding member at Aditya Birla Health Insurance a start up in ABG and in 6 years was promoted to lead the Aditya Birla Capital group marketing mandate.

Prior to joining Aditya Birla Capital, Darshana was with all leading Retail giants in India viz Hypercity Retail, Reliance Retail, Future Group and Shoppers Stop, She started her career with IT education companies like NIIT and Boston computing.

Darshana is the recipient of many prestigious industry awards but one which is very special is the exceptional Leadership Award and Functional Excellence at Aditya Birla Group.

Darshana has done her bachelor’s in science from Mithibai College and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from NMIMS. She has also done a Senior Leadership Executive Program(SELP) from Harvard Business School.

Darshana has been invited to partner many industry bodies in an advisory capacity; like the General Insurance Committee (GIC), India Modern Marketing (IMA) and Internet and Mobile Association of India( IAMAI) and DMAI etc.

Gulshan Verma is a digital technology and media executive with over 20 years of experience building fast growing organizations across the USA, UK, APAC and India.

Currently Gulshan leads JioAds – the advertising arm of Jio Platforms Limited which reaches more than 450M users.

Prior to JioAds, Gulshan was the Head of Advertising and part of the management team at Disney+Hotstar, India’s largest streaming platform where he grew the platform’s revenues more than 8x over three years. He has held other leadership positions in Times Internet Limited, Outbrain, Komli Media, Yahoo!, Ernst & Young, McKinsey & Co and IMG.

Gulshan holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, MSc. Political Economy of Transition in Europe and a BSc. Economics from the London School of Economics.
