Bharat Khatri is the Chief Digital Officer, APAC at Omnicom Media Group, one of the world’s leading global media agency networks, where he leads digital marketing operations, productization, commercials and governance efforts for the network in this region. Before joining the Omnicom Media Group, Bharat was leading operations for Xaxis in India as the Country Head, where he was responsible for managing P&L for the biggest agency programmatic desk in the country, growing the business exponentially over the past five years, fostering partnerships with leading technology, media and measurement players to drive a digital-first strategy and mentoring the next generation of digital leaders.

He started his career with Serco as an Account Coordinator and later on moved to Wipro and Exponential, diversifying his portfolio to media planning, buying, P&L Management, research and development.

A true advocate for digital transformation and passionate about applications of artificial intelligence that enables accurate digital planning across all addressable channels, Bharat loves helping brands transform the marketing message into a welcome occurrence rather than an unwanted intrusion with his data-driven approach.

A complete foodie at heart, Bharat enjoys cooking in his past time. Digital detox and good food make his weekends perfect. As an avid mountaineer, he sees practical parallels between what it takes to be on an expedition and being in the media advertising industry. The determination, perseverance and out-of-the-box thinking required to take on mountaineering fuels him to find purpose in work and life.

NALIN MEHTA

Professor Nalin Mehta is an award-winning social scientist, journalist and author who has held senior leadership positions in major Indian digital, print and TV news companies;

been a communications expert with international financing institutions and the UN in Geneva, Switzerland.

He has taught and held research positions at universities and institutions in Australia, Singapore, Switzerland and India. Most recently, Mehta has been Executive Editor, Times of India – Online; Consulting Editor, Times of India and Managing Editor, India Today (English TV news channel).

He has also held senior positions with the Global Fund in Geneva, Switzerland, and UNAIDS.

Alongside executive leadership position roles in the media industry, Mehta has held senior research fellowships at National University of Singapore; Australian National University, Canberra; La Trobe University, Melbourne; and International Olympics Museum, Lausanne, Switzerland. Mehta has also been Adjunct Professor at IIM-Bangalore, Associate Professor of Sociology at Shiv Nadar University and Senior Research Fellow at India Development Foundation.

Mehta is the author of five best-selling and critically acclaimed books, including India On Television (winner of the Asian Publishing Award for Best Book on Asian Media, 2009) and Behind a Billion Screens (Shortlisted as Business Book of the Year, Tata Literary Live, 2015). His latest co-authored book, Dreams of a Billion (2020) is a national bestseller.  Mehta was  founding Co-Director of the Times Lit Fest Delhi (2015-18) and a founding editor of the international peer-reviewed journal South Asian History and Culture (Routledge) as well as the Routledge South Asian History and Culture book series.

A DFID-Commonwealth scholar, Mehta has a Ph.D in Politics from La Trobe University, Melbourne; M.A. International Relations, University of East Anglia, UK, and B.A. Journalism (Honours) from University of Delhi.

Mahip is a digital marketing strategist with over 11+ years of digital marketing experience, with an extensive focus on performance marketing, mobile app marketing, new user acquisition, revenue generation and strategic alliances.

A self-starter with the ability to translate corporate goals into reality, motivated and sincerely enjoys developing and maintaining excellent relations. He is passionate about how mobile has changed the face of advertising. Mahip currently heads Mobile App & Performance marketing for Flipkart & manages the new user acquisition and engagement for paid and organic sources.

Prior to Flipkart.com , Mahip was associated with bigbasket.com  & Commonfloor.com managed their Performance Marketing and Strategic Alliances. Mahip has also worked with Brands like Kotak, Yahoo, Knight Frank India & HDFC Realty in past.

AKASH DEEP BATRA

Akash Deep Batra is the Executive Director and Head of Marketing, Growth, Customer Experience and Analytics at DBS Bank. Akash leads a team of over 70 functional experts to drive marketing, consumer acquisition through digital and physical channels, portfolio growth through digital campaigns, consumer research & insights, consumer experience (including UI/UX), business analytics, and cognitive banking across the DBS India consumer banking business and brands.

Before DBS, Akash was Head of Brand Communication, Corporate Brand and Digital at Nestlé India. In his 7-year-long stint at Nestle, he was also the head of digital and eCommerce for the Asia Pacific Region. Akash has also worked at Infosys for over 9 years in various roles in business consulting, product management, and technology management functions.
