ACHINT SETIA

Achint looks after Myntra’s Digital marketing, Branded content, Loyalty program and Marketing strategy & Analytics. He has rich experience across E-Commerce, Media, Management consulting and Software development.

KARTHIK NAGARAJAN

Prior to this, he set up the social media practice for GroupM India and also led the digital insights agenda.

Before joining GroupM, Karthik was the Country Head for Nielsen’s online division and also for NM Incite – the joint venture between Nielsen and McKinsey.

Karthik is a visiting faculty in many prestigious B-schools across India and a board member at I-COM (The premier global forum for marketing data & measurement).

When he is not on his day job, he is a screenwriter and host of “The Filter Koffee podcast”.

SANJAY SINDHWANI

Sanjay has over 25 years in the Media Industry primarily across Digital with earlier stints in Print and Television.

At IEOMSL, Sanjay has been responsible for a strong turnaround of the company in the current FY, in spite of the Covid & Lockdowns hitting the media industry severely in Q1 & Q2. He was also involved in the acquisition of MyInsuranceClub.com an Insurance aggregator and the launch of subscriptions for Indian Express.

Prior to joining IEOMSL, Sanjay has worked with Times Internet, Television 18, and Bennett Coleman across functions like P&L, Business Strategy, Business Development, Product Management, Editorial and New initiatives.

As the business head @ ET Sanjay was responsible for conceptualizing and launching ET Prime and making ET the undisputed No.1 in terms of reach across all business and financial websites.

NALIN MEHTA

Professor Nalin Mehta is an award-winning social scientist, journalist and author who has held senior leadership positions in major Indian digital, print and TV news companies;

been a communications expert with international financing institutions and the UN in Geneva, Switzerland.

He has taught and held research positions at universities and institutions in Australia, Singapore, Switzerland and India. Most recently, Mehta has been Executive Editor, Times of India – Online; Consulting Editor, Times of India and Managing Editor, India Today (English TV news channel).

He has also held senior positions with the Global Fund in Geneva, Switzerland, and UNAIDS.

Alongside executive leadership position roles in the media industry, Mehta has held senior research fellowships at National University of Singapore; Australian National University, Canberra; La Trobe University, Melbourne; and International Olympics Museum, Lausanne, Switzerland. Mehta has also been Adjunct Professor at IIM-Bangalore, Associate Professor of Sociology at Shiv Nadar University and Senior Research Fellow at India Development Foundation.

Mehta is the author of five best-selling and critically acclaimed books, including India On Television (winner of the Asian Publishing Award for Best Book on Asian Media, 2009) and Behind a Billion Screens (Shortlisted as Business Book of the Year, Tata Literary Live, 2015). His latest co-authored book, Dreams of a Billion (2020) is a national bestseller.  Mehta was  founding Co-Director of the Times Lit Fest Delhi (2015-18) and a founding editor of the international peer-reviewed journal South Asian History and Culture (Routledge) as well as the Routledge South Asian History and Culture book series.

A DFID-Commonwealth scholar, Mehta has a Ph.D in Politics from La Trobe University, Melbourne; M.A. International Relations, University of East Anglia, UK, and B.A. Journalism (Honours) from University of Delhi.

JEREMY GILBERT

Jeremy Gilbert is the Knight Professor of Digital Media Strategy.

Both his work and teaching focus on the content and revenue strategies of existing and emerging media companies. He explores the intersection of technology and media, examining how new tools and techniques will affect the creation, consumption and distribution of media.

Prior to assuming the Knight Chair, Gilbert was The Washington Post’s Director of Strategic Initiatives where he led an award-winning team that transformed The Post into an international, digital-first news organization.

Gilbert’s other past roles included developing a digital strategy for National Geographic, helping The Poynter Institute rethink and redesign its industry leading website and art directing newspapers.
